Press release

clearvise AG takes majority stake in a ready-to-build solar park with 33 MW in France and will jointly construct and operate it together with the project developer via the clearPARTNERS concept

  • Innovative cooperation model clearPARTNERS is implemented for the first time with a regional partner in the core market France

  • Proof of concept thus achieved for all three pillars of the 3-C acquisition strategy

  • Solar plant to be connected to the grid in H1 2024

Wiesbaden, 03 May 2023 - clearvise AG (WKN A1EWXA / ISIN DE000A1EWXA4), an independent power producer from renewable energies with a diversified, European portfolio of wind and PV plants, has acquired a majority stake in a 33 MW ready-to-build ground-mounted solar park in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France from developers LNF Solar Development GmbH and Mr. Frank Menschel. The regional developers will remain involved in the project through a clearPARTNERS cooperation. The parties are pursuing the goal of constructing the solar park via a joint IPP company and operating it in the long term. Permission for the project has already been granted. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2023. Due to the long delivery time for the transformer station, the grid connection is planned for the first half of 2024. In addition, the developers have a development pipeline of approximately 100 MW. The parties have concluded a cooperation agreement and intend to implement projects approved from this in the same structure.

Petra Leue-Bahns, CEO of clearvise AG, explains: "We are very pleased that with LNF Energy and Mr. Menschel we were able to win the right partners for the implementation of our clearPARTNERS model. We have known each other for many years and have great respect for the competence and outstanding performance of our partners in project development. With this cooperation, we can successfully diversify the portfolio technologically towards solar photovoltaics in France as one of our most important core markets. At the same time, we have thus provided proof of concept that all three pillars of the 3-C acquisition strategy work in practice and ideally cover the needs of our target markets. With clearPARTNERS, we have developed an innovative co-development and co-IPP model that focuses on fair, long-term cooperation with smaller regional developers and therefore creates added value for all partners. With this cooperation, we have reached another milestone in our growth initiative clearSCALE 2025."

Mr. Le Hoang Nguyen, Managing Director of LNF Energy, adds: "It is great to have clearvise as a partner for our solar project, with whom we can realise our solar-agricultural development concept in the long term together as shareholders of a co-IPP company. With clearvise, we have found a partner who understands the challenge of project development and brings in the necessary know-how and resources required to build and operate solar parks."

"We have been successfully developing solar projects in France for many years. With our development concept, we are pleased to have built a bridge between the solar and agricultural sectors and to contribute to securing agricultural activities in the long term. Staying invested in the project ourselves in the long term is very important to us. It strengthens our presence on the ground and gives us the opportunity to pursue our development concept in the long term", adds Frank Menschel, who himself lives in France.

For clearvise, the solar project in Nouvelle-Aquitaine marks just the beginning of the initiatives within the clearPARTNERS model. clearvise is also in dis with potential partners in other countries for the planned portfolio expansion and is continuously exploring further opportunities.
