This Coffee Expert Has A Tip That Will Change How You Make Coffee Forever

What would we do without coffee, eh? Sleep all day? Do approximately zero work? Exactly – we need it.

And now, more than ever, we need to know how to make the best possible cup of coffee at home as so many of us continue to work from home.

You may think making coffee is as simple as adding boiling water to instant coffee/switching on your coffee machine/getting your cafetière going, but it’s simple not.

According to this coffee expert, there is one mistake that almost all people make when they make coffee at home. And it’s so simple, you’ll be able to rectify it no problem.

Head roaster at Coffee-Direct, Phil Smith says that if you pour your coffee into a cold mug or cup, it impacts the entire process and your coffee will never taste nearly as good as it could.

Phil says, “If you pour your coffee into a cold container, the contents won’t maintain a hot temperature for long. By pre-warming your cup, your coffee will stay hot for much longer.

“A great way to do this is to pour some water into your cup before it reaches the full boil. Leave it in there until the coffee has brewed and empty it out before filling it up with coffee. This will set your cup to the perfect temperature so you can enjoy your fresh coffee for longer.

But it’s not just your cup that needs warming up – it’s a good idea to warm up your cafetière being using it too.

“The same applies to the equipment, in most cases this will be automatic, but equipment needs to be warmed before putting coffee in.”

Even if you just fill your cafetière up with hot water from the tap, that will make the world of difference.

No go forth and make great coffee!
