The Zen Treehouse is the perfect getaway that features the best of both worlds for city dwellers looking to get in touch with nature without sacrificing their WiFi connection.
Run by Peter Fatianow, the Zen Treehouse (@zentreehousecolo) is located in Bailey, Colorado. Perched at the top of a hill, surrounded by trees, the stunning luxury property overlooks Deer Creek Valley. Its incredible views and natural landscape will have guests in disbelief that this modern-day treehouse is less than an hour’s drive from Denver by car, providing the perfect balance between city and country living.
An airy and open communal living space with high ceilings is the main highlight of the house’s interior. Beginning with the kitchen, Fatianow shows viewers a full-service coffee station, complete with all the necessary appliances and fixings for any coffee preference imaginable. In addition to the coffee corner, the kitchen includes “everything you could possibly need for you, or, if you want a private chef, we can arrange that as well,” Fatianow tells In The Know.
Fatianow continues the tour by showing viewers the dining area, featuring a long table that can comfortably accommodate eight people next to floor-to-ceiling windows with a gorgeous view of the natural landscape.
After dining, guests can meander to the adjacent living area, which includes a cozy fireplace in front of a large plush couch that easily converts into a queen size bed. The living area leads to a large deck with breathtaking vistas. It’s the perfect hangout spot, complete with a fire pit and a bar rail overlooking the valley.
The main bedroom is incredibly spacious and comes with its own fireplace and private deck, for guests who want a little more me-time. A covered bridge connects the main cabin to the guest suite, which has another spacious bedroom and deck, where guests can continue to take in the views.
Below the guest suite is the “relaxation deck,” which Fatianow admits is his favorite part of the house, largely due to the 6-person 42-jet hot tub. “Our guests just love it,” confesses Fatianow. The chill zone also has a fire pit, gourmet high-end grill, and barrel sauna which Fatianow says is “the epitome of relaxation.”
