The Ottawa Senators simply have no answer for Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

Through seven games this season, the pair of superstars had combined for 33 points against the Sens. Both players continued their success against the Senators in Wednesday’s game, which was highlighted by this absolutely spectacular game-winning goal by McDavid.

What a play.

After hemming the Senators in their own zone for an extensive amount of time, the Oilers cycled the puck to McDavid who completely blew by a well-positioned Chris Tierney en route to burying a highlight-reel goal.

Edmonton went on to win the game 3-2 thanks to this marvellous marker.

McDavid and Draisaitl have dominated Ottawa this season. In Wednesday’s contest, the two combined for eight points, with Draisaitl (3 goals) and McDavid (1 goal) manufacturing all of the Oilers’ goals in the game. The uber-talented duo have now combined for 41 points in eight games against the Senators.

Edmonton’s win lifts the team past the Winnipeg Jets for second in the North Division and marks its eighth win in as many contests against the Sens this season.

The two teams will play their final game of the campaign against each other on Thursday.
