Following a notable rise in coronavirus cases, Boris Johnson has announced a raft of new measures that are set to be in place for six months.

The new rules, which were announced in a televised speech to the nation on Tuesday night, are intended to stop the spread of the virus.

Johnson set out measures such as encouraging office staff to now work from home, pubs closing at 10pm and wedding attendance being cut from 30 to 15.

He said: “We have to acknowledge that this is a great and freedom-loving country.
