Happy Christmas, everybody!

Yes, I’m a little keen, but seeing as Costa has announced its Christmas menu, I’ve decided to cancel October and November, and go straight to the holiday season. Join me, won’t you?

So Costa’s Christmas menu is here, and there are some new treats, plus some returning favourites. Let's start with some exciting new drinks, shall we?

First up, have you ever wished you could combine a Quality Street Purple One with your favourite milky coffee? Well, now you can! Introducing Costa's Purple One latte.

This delicious drink, which has just been announced, has a rich caramel chocolate sauce and roasted hazelnut syrup, topped with a light dairy swirl. Plus, you get an actual Purple One chocolate with every coffee.

As well as that, Costa has introduced a brand-new Terry's Chocolate Orange hot chocolate and an After Eights hot chocolate too.

These drinks have just been added to Costa's Christmas menu, which was revealed earlier this month.

Let's talk about the food on the festive menu. Sweet stuff first okay with you?

There's a new After Eights muffin on the menu! It's a chocolate muffin filled with a peppermint flavoured sauce, topped with white icing and finished with an iconic After Eight chocolate.

Mint not your thing? Then orange chocolate fans will be delighted to hear the Terry’s Chocolate Orange muffin will be making a return, exclusive to Costa Coffee, this delicious chocolate muffin is filled with chocolate orange sauce and topped with a segment of the iconic Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

And how about the new Rich Chocolate & Hazelnut Shimmer Cake. Made with three layers of dark chocolate sponge, sandwiched together by a delicate hazelnut and chocolate frosting, each slice is topped with hazelnuts, dark chocolate curls and gold dusting. It’s THE showstopper of all cakes and a perfect treat alongside a handcrafted cup of coffee on a cold wintery afternoon.

As far as savoury goes, there's a Lobster Toastie on Costa's menu this year. Dead posh, innit? Featuring responsibly sourced lobster, a rich béchamel sauce and topped with a selection of delicious cheeses, all enclosed in a parsley crumb topped seeded malted bloomer bread - this is the champion of toasties! Available as part of the meal deal offer, the Lobster Toastie can be enjoyed with a delicious handcrafted coffee for just £5!

Now, let's take a look at some more drinks options. There are five fan favourite drinks returning this year and we feel truly #blessed to have them back in our lives.

First up, the much-loved Gingerbread Cream Latte makes a triumphant return. Costa Coffee’s classic latte get a generous dash of gingerbread syrup and tasty cream topping. And there’s an adorable mini gingerbread man stuck in the top too.

Coffee not your thing? Then the iconic Black Forest Hot Chocolate & Cream is for you. It’s a rich, creamy hot chocolate drizzled with cherry sauce and shimmery chocolate curls

Now then, if you’re looking for a twist on your trusted cappuccino then try the Cinnamon Spiced Cappuccino. With its trio of blended spices – cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise – this winter-warmer will leave you feeling all snuggly. What’s more, this bad boy can be made vegan by switching to a milk alternative, including coconut, almond or oat milk.

But that’s not it… fans were obsessed with the Velvet Cream Latte and Irish Velvet Cream Hot Chocolate last year, so it’s back again for 2020. The indulgent and comforting (yet non-alcoholic) flavour of Irish Cream makes both of these a great choice on a cold day.

Eric Tavoukdjian, Commercial Marketing Director at Costa Coffee said: “We know how much our customers love our seasonal drinks and the flavour combinations we offer at this time each year. With the festive season almost upon us, we are delighted to be able to offer a taste of familiarity through a collection of handcrafted drinks that we know our customers have been missing.”

Costa Coffee’s full Christmas menu will be available in stores nationwide from Tuesday 3 November 2020 and can be viewed online.
