The Countess of Wessex looked graceful in a white dress with cut-out, billowing sleeves and a statement pendant necklace as she attended the RHS Chelsea Flower Show yesterday afternoon (20 September).
Sophie Wessex wore a pair of white wedge heels with a woven trim, which added an air of summer to this year’s Autumnal event.
The royal also wore a navy blazer, which she carried with her thanks to the warm weather.
The Countess arrived at the event with her husband, Prince Edward, who is the Queen’s youngest child, along with Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Alexandra.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex viewed the gardens at the exhibit, including The BBC One Show and RHS Garden of Hope, which was unveiled by The One Show’s Alex Jones, alongside her co-presenters Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas.
The royal couple were introduced to the presenters along with garden designer Arit Anderson and garden contractor Mark Gregory, to hear about how the display was created, before visiting more of the displays across the grounds.
Monday was the first day of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year and was open for press and special guests. The event opened to the public from today (21 September) and will run until Saturday (25 September).
The Chelsea Flower Show 2021 winners have now been announced, with Gold, Silver-Gilt and Silver medals across three exhibitor categories. The Best in Show results will be announced this afternoon (21 September).
