David Furnish Shares Sweet Tribute to 'Irrepressible Husband' Elton John on His 77th Birthday: 'Love You Forever'

The Rocket Man himself is feeling all the love on his 77th birthday!

On Monday, Elton John turned 77 and his husband David Furnish shared a sweet tribute on Instagram to celebrate.

Furnish, 61, posted a fun picture of the music legend wearing his signature, stylish sunglasses — this pair with rose gold lenses — and holding a miniature figurine of his head in his mouth. In the caption, the filmmaker opened up about how much love he has for his partner of over three decades and husband of 10 years.

"Happy Birthday to my irrepressible husband @eltonjohn," wrote Furnish, who shares two sons — Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11 — with rock icon.

"You are the best father, hardest working artist and musician, bountiful humanitarian, loving partner, and most loyal friend," he continued. "Wishing you the healthiest and happiest 77th birthday."

Furnish concluded the thoughtful post by writing, "Love you forever," and signing it, "David xoxo."

The film producer also shared the tribute on his Instagram Story, adding an additional happy birthday message and an illustration of John dressed in his classic Dodgers Stadium ensemble.

The "Tiny Dancer" singer himself reposted the b-day wishes from his husband on his own Story, and added a funny note. "Love you @davidfurnish," he wrote. "Always getting my best angles 😘."

The hitmaker also took to the comments on Furnish's post to express his love and gratitude. "I love you and am so incredibly lucky to have you in my life, thank you for everything ❤️," John responded.

Several famous friends shared heartfelt messages in the comment section, as well.

Debbie Gibson replied, "Ohhhh Happiest of Birthdays Elton ! So happy I got to see you both a couple of weeks ago. Forever such a meaningful inspiration and connection. Sending love ❤️."

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs and Broadway producer Jerry Mitchell, among others, also sent warm wishes.

John has had a lot to celebrate in recent months. At the start of the year, he became one of the few celebrities to reach EGOT status — or having earned an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.

He solidified the status by winning his first-ever Emmy for outstanding live variety special for Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium on Disney+.

At the time, the musician shared how thrilled he was about the accomplishment by posting a statement on Instagram. "We won an Emmy and I am on cloud nine!! Receiving this recognition is a testament to the passion and dedication of everyone involved, and I am so deeply grateful," John shared in a lengthy caption.

After thanking those involved with his Disney+ special, he added, "Honoured to have joined the hallowed ranks of EGOT winners, here’s to the joy of music and the magic it brings to our lives!"

Just last week, the "Crocodile Rock" singer also received a coveted titled from the Library of Congress when he and his longtime songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin, were awarded the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. In receiving the title, which recognizes their contributions to popular music, the two were honored with a tribute concert featuring performances from Joni MitchellMaren MorrisMetallicaAnnie Lennox and Brandi Carlile.
