Yahoo Finance David Walliams' latest book for children is now out and available to buy
David Walliams fans will be thrilled to hear that his latest children's book, Megamonster, is now on shelves.
David shared the news of his publication day on Instagram, along with an update that kids can play an online game, called "Monsterfication Machine" to find out which monster they are from Walliams' popular books!
To celebrate his new book, David tucked into some fun and delicious looking green and pink cupcakes. "The best thing about publication day is FREE CAKE!" he said.
The new book is published by HarperCollins Children's Books and is described as "an action-packed page-turning adventure featuring a hilarious cast of characters." The plot "takes place on an island in the middle of shark-infested waters – where the Cruel School stands on top of a dormant volcano. The lessons are appalling, the school dinners are revolting and the teachers are terrifying – especially the mysterious Science teacher, Doctor Doktur. When Larker is sent to the school for pulling a prank, she quickly realises something very odd is going on . . . something involving Doctor Doktur, a pair of strange spectacles and a ‘Monsterfication Machine’. And ultimately she finds herself face to face with a real life Megamonster. There seems to be no escape – but for Larker nothing is impossible . . ."
