From Harper's BAZAAR

Luxury handbag label DeMellier is celebrating International Women's Day this year with the launch of a charitable tote-bag collection, which will support seven amazing causes, that have been chosen by seven inspiring women.

The initiative, entitled '7 Women, 7 Causes' aims to celebrate the message of creative, strong women coming together and giving back to their communities. Each has co-designed an exclusive, sustainable tote bag to support their chosen charity.

Oumayma Elboumeshouli has created the 'Peace Tote', profits of which will go towards War Child; Angela Fink's 'Earth Tote' will help No More Plastic; Fong Min Laio will help to support community-based mental health organisation Peers with the 'Soul Tote'; Natasha Ndlovu will aid The Black Curriculum with the 'Learn Tote'; profits of Tania Sarin's 'Love Tote' will go towards #HashtagLunchbag, an organisation which makes and distributes meals to those in need; Christie Tyler's 'Mind Tote' will go towards helping young women in education by donating to The Malala Foundation, while Mireia Llusia-Lindh has created the 'Life Tote', which will help to support international charity SOS Children's Villages.

100 per cent of the profits from sales of the bags, which are all sustainably made and available to shop here, will go towards these chosen charities.

"Beyond creating handbags, DeMellier’s mission is to be a force of positive influence in the fashion industry," the brand said of the project.
