Designer Kristin Juszczyk Says Her Ultimate Goal Is to Create Clothes for the Fans: 'All I've Ever Wanted' (Exclusive)

The designer and wife to 49ers running back Kyle Juszczyk has skyrocketed in the fashion space with her custom game day designs — and she's just getting started

All Kristin Juszczyk has ever dreamed of is walking into an NFL stadium and seeing people wearing her designs. And now, that fantasy has become her reality.

"My true goal has always been to dress the fans," the wife of 49ers running back Kyle Juszczyk tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview for her partnership with FedEx as she teams with the global shipping company ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl.

During the interview, the designer, who also recently secured an NFL licensing deal granting her the opportunity to use the NFL’s logos on her clothing, including men's and women's apparel, reflects on the unbelievable momentum her career has seen this season, as she quickly became the face of NFL game-day looks, creating custom pieces for Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes, Simone Biles, Olivia Culpo, Taylor Lautner and herself.

The attention, however, comes after years of being told "no" and that she wasn't good enough to make it in the fashion space.

"I've been at this for a few years now, and I've been told 'no' many times or that we just don't have the space for that," she says, reminiscing about her first NFL design, which was a pair of sweatpants and a crop top. "This is something that I've been so passionate about. I feel like there's a huge gap in the market, and I have so many designs that I know women want. It's just a matter of being able to get it out there."

While Kristin says she's always had goals, she never expected to be in the position she is today.

"I just can't thank everyone enough for the positivity," she says. "It's a love of mine, and I think people can feel how much I love it and how passionate I am about it."

"I just want other women, and not even just women, I want men too, to feel comfortable and confident in what they wear to the game. And everyone deserves to be able to show their creativity as well," Kristin, who married Kylie in 2019, adds.

Kristin explains that the inspiration for her outfits comes from various sources, ranging from thrifting to her favorite silhouettes and even the fans. For instance, the idea for her viral puffer jackets originated from observing men at her husband's games wearing their jerseys over large jackets.

"I'm just looking at them and thinking to myself, why hasn't there ever been a jacket that doubles as a jersey for these cold games? Everyone wants to stay warm while representing their favorite player and team."

"That's when I had the 'Eureka moment,' and the light bulb went off. I thought, 'I'm going to create a jersey jacket,'" she continues. "That's where the evolution of that idea came from."

Looking back on this season, Kristin's experienced her fair share of exciting moments, from witnessing Swift, 34, and Mahomes, 28, don her matching red puffers to the suspense of flipping the sleeves of her handmade NFC Champion jacket inside out to reveal the secret message "Super Bowl Bound." (Yes, she says she asked Kyle for permission for superstitious reasons.)

However, the most memorable moment of perhaps her entire career as a designer thus far, she says, was hosting a Women of the Niners event at Levi's Stadium in December. During the event, she participated in a panel discussion and had the opportunity to decorate and embroider jackets with the fans.

"One of my friends has always told me that it takes a hundred 'no's' to get to your first 'yes.' So, anytime I heard a 'no,' I thought, okay, one step closer to my 'yes.' When I returned home from that Women of the Niners event, I had met so many incredible women, and I felt incredibly inspired. I thought to myself, okay, I got my 'yes.' This was the 'yes' that I was looking for."
