Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (pbb) has today resolved to offer to repurchase against cash in a public tender up to a nominal volume of EUR 250 million of its Mortgage Pfandbrief benchmark bond ISIN DE000A1X3LT7. The repurchase price will be calculated by reference to the sum of the spread of -10 bps and the rate, expressed as a percentage, as determined at pricing, by linear interpolation of the mid-swap rate for euro swap transactions with a maturity of 1 year and the mid-swap rate for euro swap transactions with a maturity of 2 years, as such rates appear on the Bloomberg Screen ICAE1 at pricing, to the maturity date of the bond in accordance with market convention.

pbb issued the bond in January 2014 with an original nominal volume of EUR 500 million; it was increased with two taps in November 2019 and January 2020 to a total nominal volume of EUR 750 million.

The repurchase offer is only valid outside of the United States of America. Further information and restrictions on the repurchase will be published in a Tender Offer Memorandum, which can be obtained from Lucid Issuer Services Limited as tender agent in connection with the repurchase from 10 June 2020.

Mentre si va a caccia magari di conti correnti zero spese e gratuiti, è questo il quadro che viene delineato dal sito laleggepertutti.it, che accende i riflettori sulla scelta della Banca centrale europea che ricade sugli istituti di credito e che finisce per penalizzare i clienti delle singole banche. La politica espansiva della Bce, si legge, ha portato in negativo i tassi di interesse per favorire la circolazione di denaro e dei prestiti, allo scopo di favorire la crescita economica. In questo modo, le banche depositano la liquidità in eccesso presso l’istituto di Francoforte al tasso di -0,50%. Significa che, se anche garantissero ad un risparmiatore un mutuo a tasso zero, ci rimetterebbero dei soldi. Può una banca lavorare non gratis ma addirittura perdendoci del denaro? Chiunque si rifiuterebbe di farlo. Così, sono i clienti a risolvere il problema, vedendosi aumentare poco alla volta i costi dei loro conti correnti. Si fa riferimento ad una recente indagine di Bankitalia relativa al 2020, secondo cui il costo annuo per mantenere un conto è aumentato mediamente di 88,5 euro rispetto al 2019. L’incremento riguarda principalmente le spese fisse (canone annuo, bonifici, prelievi allo sportello, assegni), mentre poco meno di un terzo è relativo a quelle variabili. Si rischia, insomma, di perderese si tengono troppi soldi nel conto e, allo stesso tempo, di non riuscire a pagare le domiciliazioni se di soldi se ne tengono pochi. Si esaminano, ad esempio, i costi dei prelievi allo sportello o al Bancomat. Il numero delle operazioni potrebbe crescere da gennaio 2022, quando entrerà in vigore la norma che impedisce i pagamenti in contanti oltre i 999,99 euro. Pagamenti più ridotti può voler dire, per chi non ha dimestichezza con la moneta elettronica, prelievi più frequenti il che, a sua volta, significa più costi. E chi non usa i contanti? Se aumentano le commissioni su bonifici e assegni, la musica non cambia. Ma gli esempi non finiscono qui. Si pensi ai bollettini per il pagamento di Tari, bollo auto ed altre tasse: le commissioni allo sportello vanno da oltre 1,50 a 3,50 euro. Il discorso porta al fatto si va verso l'introduzione di una sorta di «nuova tassa» sui conti correnti per evitare perdite con la Bce. Ma anche per spingere il correntista a togliere il denaro dal conto ed investirlo in titoli, cioè per ridurre l’enorme liquidità che giace sui depositi (si parla di circa 1.745 miliardi di euro) e che frutta poco o niente, secondo laleggepertutti.it.
