Good news! America is opening up to double-jabbed British holidaymakers again from November, following an 18-month ban.

This means we can head to our favourite destinations, from California to New York, again (check out the latest Foreign Office advice here).

Of course, while the USA is ready to welcome UK travellers again this autumn, no travel is without risk right and a package holiday is your best bet during these uncertain times - and we've got the epic 2022 adventure for you...

With their vast canyons, enthralling views and fresh mountain air, the Rocky Mountains is Mother Nature's work at its best.

VISIT THE ROCKIES IN 2022

Stretching from Western Canada to New Mexico, the Rockies formed a natural barrier to European settlers making their journey from east to west. It wasn’t until the mid-1800s that thousands braved the perilous crossing to reach Utah, Nevada and the riches of California.

As one of the most breathtaking places on the planet, it's only natural that we're adding the epic destination to Good Housekeeping Holidays' ever-growing portfolio.

New for 2022, you can join us on an eight-day trip to the USA, where you'll ride the amazing Rocky Mountaineer's latest route, experience America's best-loved national parks including the Grand Canyon and Arches, as well as end your trip in Las Vegas, where you can extend your holiday.

Your journey will include a little luxury as you take one of the world’s most iconic trains across the 3,000-mile-long mountain range. Departing from Denver, on the train's brand-new route, you'll travel in style on the world-famous Rocky Mountaineer bound for Utah.

During the ride, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Rockies while making the most of the SilverLeaf Service as you take in Ruby Canyon, Mount Logan and cross the Continental Divide.

Next, it's the highlights of the American Southwest, including the Grand Canyon, before reaching your final destination, the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas.

During the tour, you’ll visit some of America’s incredible national parks - four of Utah’s ‘Mighty Five’ national parks: Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Arches, as well as the spectacular Grand Canyon in the state of Arizona.

Why you'll love our trip to the USA

Amazing national parks

In Bryce Canyon, you’ll discover the largest collection of hoodoos (tall, thin spires of rock) in the world during a guided tour. Zion National Park in south-western Utah is home to towering mountains and red canyons, easily reachable on hikes.

Meanwhile, in Canyonlands, you’ll explore the red sandstone landscapes and tick off a bucket-list experience as you see one of the world’s natural wonders, the Grand Canyon.

A scenic ride on the Rocky Mountaineer

The famous Rocky Mountaineer train offers unrivalled luxury railway journeys through Western Canada and the American Southwest, and has been named the ‘World’s Leading Travel Experience by Train’ eight times at the World Travel Awards.

During your two-day journey between Colorado and Utah, you’ll sit back in supreme comfort while the spacious single-level coaches and oversized windows of the train’s SilverLeaf Service ensure you take in wonderful views of the scenery.

Experience Native American culture

Monument Valley is in the heart of the Navajo Nation reservation and you’ll take a tour that incorporates John Ford Point (named after the film director who shot many of his famous Westerns there), Artist Point and the Totem Pole. You’ll also discover more about Navajo culture and traditions.
