Yahoo Finance DJ Snake, Dhee Bring Spotify Singles to India With Remix of Chartbuster ‘Enjoy Enjaami’
Spotify has debuted its Singles program in India with a new version of singer Dhee’s smash hit Tamil-language track “Enjoy Enjaami” by French record producer William Grigahcine, known by his stage name DJ Snake.
DJ Snake has re-imagined the song, blending distinctive styles influenced by the sounds native to the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu with electronic dance beats. The new version of the track was launched on June 21, World Music day.

The original “Enjoy Enjaami” track, by Sri Lankan singer Dhee, Arivu from The Casteless Collective, and Indian composer Santhosh Narayanan was released on Oscar, BAFTA and Grammy winning composer A.R Rahman’s (“Slumdog Millionaire”) platform maajja in March and has racked up 265 million views on YouTube and 15 million streams on Spotify.
The track is a tribute to India’s ancestors, and celebrates their spirit in coexisting with nature.
The Spotify Singles program brings together artists from different music cultures. Other other global collaborations featured as part of Spotify Singles, including SahBabii and Joji, Celine Dion and Chris Isaak, and R3HAB and GATTUSO. In May, Spotify Singles collectively hit over 5 billion streams.
