What does “WYLL” mean on TikTok and Snapchat?
This popular acronym is not the kind you’ll spot on your social feeds or FYP. Although commonly used on TikTok and Snapchat, people typically reserve the lingo for private messages.
According to Urban Dictionary, “WYLL” stands for “what you look like.” It’s a way for people to ask for photos, videos or more information about someone, usually in a one-on-one conversation.
On TikTok, you might get a video in response. However, on Snapchat, people may submit their Bitmoji (personalized avatar). Others may choose to share personality traits or astrology signs. It’s up to the person to decide how much and what they want to share.
You can also use the term sarcastically to express disapproval about behavior, as in: “WYLL texting back so quickly with your ex.”
