1. Banana katsu

Maybe you’ve had chicken katsu or pork katsu, but have you had banana katsu? This creative dessert is inspired by the popular fried Japanese comfort food — but with a sweet twist! To make it, simply dip banana pieces in plain flour, eggs and breadcrumbs. Then, shallow fry the bananas in oil for three minutes, flipping once in between. When the bananas are golden brown, dust them with powdered sugar and serve over ice cream.

2. Vegan banana sesame cream pie

This beautiful banana pie uses tahini for an extra rich flavor. To make it, make a vegan custard by mixing non-dairy milk, cornstarch, vanilla, sea salt, confectioners’ sugar and tahini. Heat the custard on the stove until it begins to thicken. Then add vegan butter, and let it chill. Next, add the custard to a graham cracker pie crust. Add a layer of overripe banana slices. Then add more custard on top. Chill the pie overnight. Then top with even more bananas!

3. Chocolate banana bread

This decadent banana bread makes a perfect breakfast or dessert. Just mash three overripe bananas. Then mix them with eggs, sugar, sour cream and melted butter. Next, add flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and plenty of chocolate chips. Then simply pour the mixture into a loaf pan and bake!

4. Banana cookie dough ice cream

If you’re looking for a healthier banana dessert, try this banana cookie dough ice cream. Simply blend two overripe frozen bananas, vanilla, vanilla protein and a dash of milk. Add the mixture to a container with edible cookie dough and dark chocolate chips. Then freeze for at least half an hour and enjoy!

5. Banana blondies

These banana blondies are rich, decadent and easy to make. Just mix sugar, melted butter and eggs together. Then mash two overripe bananas, and add them to the mixture with flour, baking powder, salt and a crushed dark chocolate bar. Pour into a baking tin and bake. Once the blondies are golden brown, they’re ready to eat!
