“Thanks for checking in on me, I appreciate all the kind shout-outs,” he said in an Instagram post. The 62-year-old is recovering at his Southern California home.
Pinsky is the cohost of Fox-11 News Special Report along with Elex Michaelson. He also starred in the VH1 reality series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which examined the addictive disorders of a group of celebrities.
Pinsky apologized in April for his prior statements downplaying the coronavirus. “I wish I had gotten it right, but I got it wrong,” Pinsky said in a video. He had suggested Covid-19 was no worse than the flu and that the probability of dying of coronavirus was less than being hit by an asteroid.
