Finding the best night cream can feel like an endless search. From formulas with thicker consistency to ones that are less greasy, it can be hard to know what will work best for your skin.

As someone who has spent a lot of time honing their skincare routine, I’ve tried many, many options. After all of the trial and error, I can attest to one product that checks all of the boxes for me. Not only does it make my skin feel rejuvenated in the morning, but it also costs much less than a typical night cream. We’re talking $14 to be exact.

CeraVe’s Skin Renewing Night Cream is gentle, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog your pores. It also has hyaluronic acid, ceramides and niacinamide to refresh your pores and lock in moisture. One of my favorite things about it? It’s “developed with dermatologists,” according to the popular drugstore brand.

While I can name all the reasons why I enjoy using this product, there are also many shoppers who seem to agree with me. Along with having over 11,900 ratings on Amazon, it has an impressive 4.5 out of 5 stars.

“This is the single greatest facial moisturizer that you can possibly get for the evening time,” wrote one customer. “It’s packed with everything you need to get hydrated, dewey skin. And it’s very occlusive, too. It goes great on your skin, and works as a great protectant.”

It’s worth noting this option may not be as lightweight as other products. One reviewer mentioned this, but still gave the item five-stars, writing, “It is thick when you initially put it on, but absorbs really well, leaving skin soft but not oily.”

Personally, having sensitive skin, it’s been a little tricky finding a night cream that doesn’t have fragrances or essential oils that can cause irritation. Although this product doesn’t have any of those often-irritating ingredients, it’s still important to do a patch test before fully applying it on your face.

With all of that in mind, if you need a cost-effective and top-rated night cream, this one may be the perfect fit.
