The Duchess of Cambridge has, once again, proved to be our style icon – this time giving us inspiration for cosy yet cute headwear to don on our daily walks.

The 39-year-old royal braved the cold to raise awareness for Children’s Mental Health Week, which starts on 1 February.

The duchess shared a video on Kensington Royal’s official Instagram account ahead of the awareness week.

In the footage, Duchess Catherine can be seen out for a walk, wearing a navy blue quilted coat by Barbour, (which has already sold out), paired with a cosy cable knit bobble hat..

Speaking in the clip she said: “This Children’s Mental Health Week is all about expressing yourself. That’s finding creative ways to share your thoughts, ideas and feelings. So whether that is through photography, through art, through drama, music or poetry, It’s finding those things that make you feel good about yourself.”

“Whilst this is Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, there has never been a more important time to speak about parental wellbeing and mental health too,” Kate continued.

“Last year, you told me just how important this was, but many of us find it hard to prioritise. It is a hugely challenging time for us all, so please look after yourself too.

“We really do need the very best versions of ourselves for the children in our care.”

In the footage, Duchess Catherine opted for natural make-up, with a light dusting of blusher, a sweep of mascara and a slick of a peachy nude lipstick.

For those who want to take a leaf out of the duchess’ accessories book, there are plenty of knitted hats, and bobble hats in particular, available to buy online.
