The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have once again paid tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh by sharing two previously unseen family photos of Prince Philip with his great-grandchildren, following his death last Friday (9 April).

In the first photo, posted on Will and Kate's official @KensingtonRoyal Instagram account on Wednesday (14 April), we see the Duke and Duchess posing for a photograph alongside the Queen and Prince Philip at Balmoral back in 2015.

A young Prince George, who would have been around two at the time, his holding his dad's hand, while mum Kate holds Princess Charlotte in her arms. The Queen is smiling happily at baby Charlotte, while the Duke of Edinburgh beams at the camera.

The second family photo, shared shortly afterwards, also shows Her Majesty and Prince Philip's close bond with their great-grandchildren. It was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself at Balmoral Castle in 2018. In the picture, the royal couple are surrounded by seven of their great-grandkids, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

A baby Prince Louis is held in his great-grandmother's arms, while the Duke of Edinburgh has his arm around three of their great-grandchildren, including Zara and Mike Tindall's eldest daughter Mia.

Both photos have been flooded with likes and messages from royal fans across the world.

The new photos follow the release of another previously unseen picture of the late Duke of Edinburgh with Prince George on Monday (12 April), which was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

Alongside the sweet snap of the duo sitting on a horse-drawn carriage, Prince William shared a personal message in tribute to his grandfather.

Prince Philip's funeral will take place this Saturday, 17 April at 3pm at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
