It might feel like Dynasty has been in your life forever, and in truth, in kind of has. The reboot of the original 1980s soap opera launched in 2017, and is now in its fourth season on The CW/ Netflix. But what we really want to know is whether there will be a Dynasty season 5. Here's what we know so far, from release date to trailer and plot suggestions.
Has Dynasty season 5 been confirmed?
Sure has! The show's creators confirmed the news back in February 2021, before season four had even dropped in October 2021. This is great news for fans, as it means we won't be left wondering what happens with that season four cliffhanger forever (more on that later.)
Dynasty has consistently had 22 episodes in each season, except for season 3, which was due to pandemic-related production problems. So fans can be sure to expect a decent number of instalments for season five - though it's not clear if the series has yet filmed.
What will happen in Dynasty season 5?

Dynasty follows the lives of oil baron Blake Carrington's children and the elite (side note: posh) social circles they move in. The season four finale reveals Fallon has been shot during a showdown with Eva, but is she actually dead? This season may also focus on Alexis' future, after Adam managed to get her arrested.

When will Dynasty season 5 be released?
Unclear, but it's safe to assume it will be at some point in 2022. The third series was released in October 2019 while the fourth dropped in October 2021, but surely they can't make us wait two whole years for the next one?
