Eamonn Holmes mistakenly sends Daisy Lowe condolences after misreading her Father's Day post

Eamonn Holmes made an unfortunate blunder on Sunday when he misinterpreted Daisy Lowe's Father's Day tribute to Gavin Rossdale and thought he had died.

To celebrate Father's Day on Sunday, the model shared a throwback snap of her and her rocker dad Gavin on Instagram and added a lengthy caption in which she wrote that she missed him due to the pandemic keeping them apart.

"HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD - god I miss you…. (Global pandemics & living in different continents really suck ) It’s been way too long since I gave you a cuddle," she wrote. "I am so grateful, in the worlds most complicated way, you turned out to be my dad. You inspire me every day… I love you more than words could ever express- I can’t wait til we get to have more adventures together again (sic)."

While many of her followers simply praised the post, This Morning's Eamonn seemed to misread the caption and sent Daisy his condolences about her father's death.

"(Prayers emojis) I had no idea u had lost your Dad Daisy. He must have been so young (sic)," he commented.

The 32-year-old model replied to his comment and corrected the mistake, explaining that she's simply unable to visit her dad in Los Angeles, where he lives, due to restrictions on travel amid the pandemic.

"@eamonnholmes he’s just in la where I can’t visit!!! Thank you love xx," she responded.

The Bush rocker also replied in the comments, writing, "Awwwww my sweet love - you are really so kind and so special - i’m so proud of you - we love you so much and need you to get here to us."

It was only revealed in 2004 that Daisy's godfather Gavin was her in fact her biological father.
