Earthborn paints has announced Lily Lily Rose – a strikingly delicate shade of blended pink, lilac and grey – as its Colour of the Year for 2022.

Described as an elegant and subtle hue, Lily Lily Rose was named in homage to John Singer Sargent's famous oil on canvas painting, Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose.

Perfect for a traditional or contemporary home, Lily Lily Rose will provide a certain elegance to any living space. This pale violet provides surprising depth and captures that delicate and magical twilight glow before light fades into evening.

The paint experts at Earthborn describe this on-trend colour as offering both alluring beauty and flexibility, which means it can be used across a variety of rooms, from the living room to the bathroom.

'Colour is a powerful way to create a mood in any home, a mood that aligns with how you wish to feel whilst spending time in that particular room. Our Lily Lily Rose is a romantic, playful colour which offers great depth whilst adding an air of style and allure,' Cathryn Sanders, Head of Creative at Earthborn paints, explains. 'This beautiful shade will create a homely, comforting sanctuary where you can switch off and relax.'
