Yahoo Finance EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks miss out on RTS Award nominations
EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks have all missed out on the Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2021 nominations.
The three soaps failed to secure a single nomination collectively when the nominees for this year's prizes were announced on Tuesday (March 2) via a livestream video presented by former Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba.
Shortlisted in the 2021 'Soap and Continuing Drama' category are Coronation Street, Casualty and Holby City.
Last year's award was won by Casualty.

Hollyoaks only resumed airing a full week of new episodes in January, after disruptions to filming and production as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, while EastEnders is broadcasting slightly shortened episodes so that it can continue to air four nights a week.
Nonetheless, successful nominees Casualty and Holby City have also faced their fair share of production delays.
Hollyoaks broadcaster Channel 4 also missed out on a 'RTS Channel of the Year' nomination, with the nods in question going to ITV, BBC One and Sky Arts — although Channel 4 did land 17 nominations in total.
The BBC leads the broadcasters across all categories with a total of 40 nominations.

The 2021 RTS Programme Awards will be hosted by Jonathan Ross and will take place on Tuesday, March 16.
"The standard of entries has been outstanding and demonstrated the breadth of high-quality content that has informed, entertained and kept audiences going through what has been such a uniquely difficult time," said awards chair Kenton Allen.
"We very much look forward to and hope everyone will join us on [March 16] to celebrate the nominees and winners and another outstanding year of television."
The 2021 RTS Programme Awards will broadcast here on Tuesday, March 16.
