EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley on Christmas storyline for Karen Taylor

From Digital Spy

EastEnders spoilers follow.

EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley has hinted at her character Karen Taylor's role in this year's Christmas episodes.

Karen and her family look set to face a difficult time over the festive season, as it's their first Christmas since the tragic death of Chantelle.

Lorraine has now shared that Karen will understandably be grieving over the holidays, but may still end up appearing in some comic scenes.

She told Inside Soap: "Karen is grieving and she doesn't want anything to do with Christmas.

"Having said that, there are a few funny scenes actually. I can't give too much away, but there is a striptease – and Karen's involved!"

Chantelle was killed in September in a violent incident with her abusive husband Gray Atkins. Gray has managed to escape justice by making the tragedy look like an accident.

In recent days, EastEnders has confirmed a number of other storylines which will be airing over Christmas this year.
