ECB to invest own cash in BIS's green bond fund

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - The European Central Bank will invest some of its own funds in the Bank for International Settlements' new green bond funds as part of its push to support the fight against climate change, the ECB said on Monday.

"The European Central Bank (ECB) has decided to use part of its own funds portfolio to invest in the euro-denominated green bond investment fund for central banks (EUR BISIP G2) introduced by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS)," the ECB said in a press release.
