Ecuador will be present in one of the largest and most important mining fairs in the world. The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, PDAC 2015, being held in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in Toronto, Canada.

The main purpose of this important event is not only to promote the projects but to bring investment, and showcase Ecuador's potential in the governance of its natural resources especially in the wealth of its geological resources, explained the Coordinating Minister for Strategic Sectors Rafael Poveda Bonilla.

The agenda of the fair also includes the Ecuador Day, in which the country made overtures to interested investors, including representatives from governments and industries from several countries, where it will present and promote mining in Ecuador through round table discussion and exhibitions.

The Coordinating Ministry for Strategic Sectors will spearhead the promotion of various projects and initiatives, through its representative, Minister Rafael Poveda Bonilla. Also attending and leading the event will be Ing. Javier Cordova, head of the new Ecuadorian Ministry of Mines.

The country has competitive advantages that make Ecuador attractive for investment in the sector. We have a portfolio of 8 public projects, plus 25 mining blocks up for auction, and support 11 private projects to be promoted in these events (attached the project sheets), we are making every effort from the Central Government to promote responsible mining in Ecuador.

Through these efforts Ecuador promotes responsible mining that seeks to benefit the lives of 15 million Ecuadorians.
