Elizabeth Debicki has landed an exciting new role, this time in the world of fashion.
The Australian actress, who will take over the role of Princess Diana in the fifth and sixth seasons of the The Crown, is the newest ambassador for Dior Joaillerie.
Debicki will be the face of Rose Dior, which is designed by Victoire de Castellane and consists of four rose-themed collections - a "reflection of pluralistic femininity".
A statement confirming the news described the actress as “a sophisticated ambassador and a symbol of the House’s timeless elegance”.
Debicki, who is known for her film roles in Tenet, Widows and The Great Gatsby, as well as hit TV miniseries The Night Manager, follows in the footsteps of Cara Delevingne as the second face of Dior's jewellery division. Delevingne was named a Dior Joaillerie ambassador in 2019.
The actress joins other famous faces that are now part of the wider Dior world, most recently including 18-year-old tennis star Emma Raducanu. The athlete quickly became a household name after winning the US Open, making her the first British woman to win a grand slam title since Virginia Wade at Wimbledon in 1977.
Raducanu's new role with Dior spans both fashion and beauty, and will see her fronting the womenswear collections as well as Dior skincare and make-up.
The actress was spotted filming the recreation of Diana's appearance at a June 1994 gala at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens. Debicki wore an ode to the famous LBD by Greek designer Christina Stambolian, which had reportedly sat in the royal's wardrobe for three years prior to her wearing it, as it was thought to be "too daring" for royal standards.
Diana famously wore the now-iconic dress on the same night that Prince Charles admitted that he had been unfaithful on national television.
