Elizabeth Olsen has been talking about working with director Sam Raimi on the hugely anticipated Marvel sequel Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Olsen is currently doing the rounds to promote WandaVision, the recently released Disney+ series that sees her paired with Paul Bettany’s Vision.

This inevitably provoked a number of questions about her future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which the studio have already confirmed will see her star opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in the sequel to 2016’s Doctor Strange.

Superhero fans are particularly excited about Doctor Strange In The Multitude Of Madness because it is being helmed by Sam Raimi, the director who previously oversaw the original Spider-Man trilogy, which most cinephiles believe propelled the comic book genre into the mainstream.

During her recent interview with Collider Olsen was asked about working with Raimi, and whether the film will include his kinetic and unique style and approach.

“He’s an incredible person to work with,” was Olsen’s initial response, before she then added. “He’s just such a unique human and I just think it’s fun getting to work with someone with such specific goals. And I love his use of camera and it’s definitely a use of camera that I’m not used to at all. So I guess that might answer your question!”

Olsen then also took this opportunity to reveal what it’s been like to collaborate with Marvel on the likes of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision and now Doctor Strange In The Multitude Of Madness, as she admitted that they’re “always giving notes” to each script, saying that the studio “are very kind to welcome opinions and thoughts.”

“It’s always an evolution even while you’re filming. We definitely have a script, but when I was told I would be in it, I had no idea what it was gonna be. I just knew I was gonna be in Doctor Strange 2. And it wasn’t only until before we even went back to finish WandaVision during the pandemic that I found out what I am doing in Doctor Strange 2.”

“But it’s kind of nice to not know! You just kind of trust everyone and then you bring your experience of the character to it and people welcome changes once you become more involved.”
