Euro zone consumer confidence better than expected in Sept
BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Euro zone consumer confidence rose 1.3 points in September against August to -4.0, partly offsetting losses in July and August, the European Commission said on Wednesday.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected a reading of -5.8.
"At −5.2 points in the EU and −4.0 points in the euro area, the indicator is above its pre-pandemic level in both regions," the Commission said.
