Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Cracks turn negative, touch 1-year low on demand fears
LONDON, March 12 (Reuters) - Northwest European gasoline refining margins turned negative on Thursday, hitting their lowest since February last year amid fears over demand amid the spread of the coronavirus globally. * Gasoline stocks held in independent storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub fell by 4% to 1.17 million tonnes in the week to Thursday, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed. * U.S. gasoline stocks fell by 5 million barrels last week, double analysts' forecasts in a Reuters poll. * European oil refineries reduced their crude processing rates by 0.6% in February from a year earlier, Euroilstock data showed on Thursday. * Oxy gasoline barge traded volumes in February fell to 218,800 tonnes from 433,300t in January and 230,000t in February 2019, according to Argus Media. * This brings oxy barge volumes for the year-to-date to 652,100t, compared with 508,000t in the same period last year, Argus said.
