Yahoo Finance Eva Mendes swaps copper-red hair for this sun-kissed bronde transformation
Eva Mendes has waved goodbye to copper and Jessica Rabbit red hair, and has gone for a golden bronde hue, in a transformation that takes her back toward her trademark look. As much as we're all for experimentation... It's good to have her back.
Her tresses show no hint of red in this video, with a biscuity base and multi-tonal sweeps of honey and vanilla, shown to their full glory in loose curls. Though I'm on a 128-day streak of Spanish lessons on Duolingo I sadly still can't understand the audio (cry), but her hair is speaking for itself. So gorgeous.
Eva's been red since the start of the year in varying degrees of intensity, peaking at this particularly bold hue. The way it pops against that Majorelle blue is simply art.
It's understandable to be a little timeline confused when looking at her Instagram feed, with the red coming in waves of strength and then seeming to pale, but according to the pros, red pigments fade the fastest. So we suspect this was a dye-job that Eva has been keeping topped up through the months, now allowing it to fade out, before giving it this extra spruce back to bronde.
Just last month she asked: "Do I go back or do I stay red? ♥️"
Looking at that sun-kissed light brown before snap, it seems she went back and beyond to reach this new extra blonde Eva, and it suits her down to the ground.
