‘Evil’ Reveals Season 2 Premiere Date in Bone-Chilling Teaser

Following last week’s news that psychological thriller series “Evil” is moving from CBS to Paramount Plus, the streamer has revealed the premiere date for Season 2 in a bone-chilling teaser trailer.

The second season of “Evil” is set to premiere on Paramount Plus June 20. The 13-episode season will release episodes each Sunday on the streaming service. The teaser for the new season showcases vignettes from the “Evil” characters over a spooky soundtrack, with each of them fighting their own supernatural battles. There’s no shortage of scare in the new teaser, which features exorcisms, grisly murders and creepy creatures, all in under two minutes.

“Evil” examines the origin of, well, evil — exploring the phenomenon along the lines of science and religion. The series centers on forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers), who joins soon-to-be Catholic priest David (Mike Colter) and contractor Ben (Aasif Mandvi) to investigate the church’s mysterious happenings and determine if there is a logical explanation, or if it traces back to the supernatural. In the show’s second season, Kristen struggles to confront the dark side of herself after killing a man, David is met with temptation and Ben’s night terrors prey on his greatest fears.

“Evil” also stars Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with King Size Productions. Robert King, Michelle King, Liz Glotzer and Rockne S. O’Bannon serve as executive producers.
