Famalam star and Truth Seekers' Elton John (no, not that one) Samson Kayo is coming back to our screens with a new comedy, one he's co-created.

Bloods will premiere in March on Sky One and NOW TV, and will star Kayo and Jane Horrocks (Bubble from Absolutely Fabulous) as a pair of paramedics in the South London ambulance service.

As well as dealing with all the call-outs and all the comedic/awkward moments we are sure that will entail, the pair also have to deal with each other. Obviously they'll become the best of friends by the end, but it's all about the journey.

Kayo's Maleek is a tough-acting loner, and he starts the series paired up with Horrocks' overly-friendly Wendy, who is recently divorced.

The series was filmed towards the end of last year, as you might have noticed from the Clap for Carers reference in the trailer. It'll be interesting to see how often it references the pandemic.

Bloods' first series will feature six episodes.

All episodes of Bloods will be available on NOW TV from March 10, with episodes airing on Sky One.
