Yahoo Finance Katie Holmes And Emilio Vitolo Jr Break Up After 8 Month Romance
Katie Holmes and famous New York chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. were first spotted hanging out together in the Big Apple in September 2020 and, naturally, news of the outing ‘broke the Internet’.
The actress was photographed enjoying drinks with the culinary expert at Antique Garage in SoHo, wearing a grey vest top and jeans while Vitolo wore a simple white T-shirt and jeans. The pair were seen laughing throughout their meeting together, prompting speculation the pair might be an item.
The former ELLE cover star is notoriously private. The 41-year-old shares a daughter, Suri Cruise, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise and was more recently in a six-year relationship with actor Jamie Foxx until they called time on their romance in May 2019.
The drinks ‘date’ marks the first time Holmes has been romantically linked with another person since Foxx.
However, the relationship is believed to have come to an end in May 2021.

May 14, 2021: Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr have split
Following an eight month romance, a spokesperson for the Dawsons Creek alum has confirmed that she has split from chef, Vitolo Jr.
'[Holmes and Vitolo Jr. have parted ways amicably but remain friends,' a spokesperson for the actress told American magazine US Weekly on May 13.
A source told the outlet that the relationship 'fizzled out' and that there is no bad blood between the pair.
The former couple were last photographed together walking in New York City on March 12, 2021.
Friday 18 December: The couple are 'Instagram official'. There - we've said it.
To mark Holme's birthday on December 18, the chef took to the social media platform to share a black-and-white photograph of the actress sitting on his lap, both mid-laughter.
'The most amazing ,kindest, beautiful person. Every time I see your face it makes me smile. Happy Birthday!!! I love you!! [sic],' Vitolo Jr. captioned the post.
The actress commented on the snap with a series of love heart emojis and the line: 'Thank you so much my Love [sic] I love u too!!!!!'
Actress Zoe Kravitz later took to the post's comment section and wrote: 'This is fuck*n cuuuuuuuute. happy birthday @katieholmes212 [sic].'
Tuesday November 3: The 41-year-old and her 33-year-old boyfriend were photographed on a walk in SoHo, New York City.
For the occasion, the stylist couple coordinated their outfits, wearing matching black face masks and neutral caramel tones.
While the chef sported a camel-coloured roll-neck and check coat, Holmes sported what could be the comfiest and warmest brown overcoat, jeans, black lace-up boots, a yellow jumper and black fedora.

Thursday October 15: The actress has been photographed out on a bike ride with her new boyfriend in New York City, and they couldn't look more smitten with each other.
Dressed in coordinated black knitwear, with the 41-year-old sporting a very chic cut-out jumper, Holmes was snapped with chef beau riding public bicycles and wearing face masks.
In recent weeks, the pair have been seen holding hands while walking through the city and hopping on the subway together.
And yes, Holmes’ style has continually been on point.
Monday September 21: Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr. were photographed walking down the streets in New York City, hand in hand, on Monday.
Walking through the city’s Wall Street area, Holmes looked relaxed in a white T-shirt, checked grey blazer, white trainers and cream-coloured knitted jogging bottoms.
Meanwhile, her beau wore brown-coloured brogues, denim jeans, a blue V-neck jumper and a navy-coloured blazer jacket.
The new couple wore matching blue face masks, too.
Friday September 18: The actress and restauranteur were seen sharing a kiss outside Emilio Vitolo Jr.'s family's restaurant Emilio's Ballato before the weekend.
For the outing, the star wore denim jeans, a white knitted jumper and a black face mask while her beau sported caramel-coloured trousers and a brown jumper.
Sunday September 13: Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr. share a kiss before parting ways
The couple were seen leaving each other on a Manhattan street on Sunday after spending the afternoon together and sharing a sweet kiss.
The Daily Mail reports the actress was seen arriving at the chef’s apartment and spent the afternoon there together before they left and Vitolo dropped his new partner off at home before starting work at his family’s restaurant, Emilio’s Ballato.
For the Sunday meet-up, the mother-of-one wore a pair of black heeled boots, jeans, a cream-coloured knitted jumper and a tan-coloured bag. She wore a face mask and carried a green smoothie.
Monday September 7: Vitolo and Holmes were seen kissing one another at the Manhattan eatery Peasant Restaurant.
The 41-year-old actress was spotted sitting on the restauranteur’s lap at the restaurant looking very loved up in coordinated white T-shirts.
The 33-year-old is a chef at Emilio’s Ballato in SoHo – an eatery purchased by his father, Emilio Vitolo Sr. in the 1990s. In recent years, the entire Vitolo family (father, mother, three sons) has joined the restaurant.
‘It’s a seven-day-a-week commitment,’ Emilio Jr recently told InStyle. ‘If you’re going to do a restaurant the right way, you always have to be there,. But on Sundays my father was never the cook. My mother, who’s from Peru, would make us dishes like chicken and rice instead.’
Sunday September 6: The actress was photographed kissing Vitolo Jr. while out in Manhattan, with her arms draped around his shoulders.
The pair looked relaxed dressed in jeans for their outing and pulled down their face masks for their sweet kiss.
Holmes isn't the only celebrity who is 'smitten' with Vitalo.
His family restaurant is a popular dining spot for the rich and famous including the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Bradley Cooper, Lenny Kravitz, and the Obamas.
‘Coming here is like coming into someone’s house,’ actress Whoopi Goldberg recently told InStyle. ‘It always feels good because it’s homey.’
Speaking about the restaurant’s popularity among celebrities, Vitolo’s father told the New York Times in 2011: ‘They just come. I swear to God. Lenny [Kravitz] might come in with Denzel [Washington]. It’s word of mouth.’
Tuesday September 1: The couple were seen having drinks at a Mediterranean restaurant called Antique Garage in the SoHo.
They were photographed laughing and holding hands across the table, with Holmes dressed in a grey high-neck vest top and Vitolo in a white T-shirt.
It's unknown whether Holmes has met Vitolo's A-list friends - the Jonas brothers and Sophie Turner - yet.
In August last year, Vitolo shared a photograph of Joe Jonas from what looks to be the singer’s 30th James Bond-themed birthday party in New York City.
A year before, the chef was seen hanging out in Florida, Miami with Jonas and his wife, Turner, and Nick Jonas and celebrating New Year’s Eve in 2017 with the famous family and Kevin Jonas’ wife, Danielle.
While he might be spotted in the kitchen most days, Vitolo has also appeared in front of the camera, appearing on shows like Royal Pains and Inside Amy Schumer.
He also has a Rottweiler puppy named Lil Franky who has his own Instagram account with more than 230 followers.
Last May, a photo of Lil Franky and his ‘father’ Vitolo and designer Rachel Emmons (who is believed to be the chef’s ex partner) were shared on the puppy’s Instagram account. One of the account's followers commented on a snap of the trio: 'What a wagnificent family!'
