Facebook down: Site not working amid major international outage

Facebook has been hit by yet another major problem as it stopped working amid a major international outage.

The outage was felt all across the world, according to the website Down Detector. Issues were concentrated on the east coast of the US and western Europe, but that is likely a result of the fact that people in other parts of the world are in bed.

It comes after a difficult week for Facebook, which has not only had significant issues of its own but has also seen Instagram and Facebook Messenger hit by major outages.

Facebook's status page, which is supposed to document problems with the site, did not show any issues.

The issues did not appear to affect all users, with many able to access the site as normal.
