Yahoo Finance Facebook ex-president Sean Parker says, 'God knows what it does to children's brains'
One of Facebook’s earliest investors and the founding president of the company Sean Parker has said that the app ‘exploits a vulnerability in human psychology’.
Parker says that he and Mark Zuckerberg built Facebook purely to ‘consume people’s time’ – and knew what they were doing.
Speaking at an Axios event in Philadelphia this week, Parker said that Facebook built a ‘social validation feedback loop,’ which exploits a ‘vulnerability in human psychology.’
Parker also said, ‘God only knows what it’s doing to our children’s brains.’

Parker said, ‘The thought process that went into building these applications, Facebook being the first of them, … was all about: “How do we consume as much of your time and conscious attention as possible?”
