Yahoo Finance Before & after: Farrow & Ball transform famous TV home in the Wye Valley
Gillian Anderson's beautiful wooden chalet in the Netflix drama Sex Education is a stunning property, nestled in the hills of the picturesque village of Symonds Yat in the Wye Valley, Herefordshire.
Now, fine paint purveyors Farrow & Ball have made the five-bedroom property even dreamier by sprucing up the interiors.
The red and white house dates back to 1912 and started life as a wooden flatpack, imported from Norway. The unique pine facade and wrap-around terrace make it instantly recognisable amongst the trees.
Fans of the show will know that protagonist Otis Milburn lives there with his sex therapist mum Jean, played by Anderson. In real life, the property is owned by the Chilvers family, who decided to make the chalet available as a holiday home last summer after being inundated with requests.
It turns out that homeowner Cathy Chilvers loved how the chalet was styled by Netflix. She wanted to update the rooms and introduce more colour, but didn't know where to start. So, she called on Farrow & Ball's consultancy service for help – and they more than delivered.
The before and after photos show just how much the sympathetic, thoughtful and beautiful colour makeover has brightened up, refreshed and transformed the inside of the unique home.
