My favorite lip balm for winter sells every minute

While I do love the perfect fall day that you can classify as #sweaterweather, every year I try to prepare for the exact day my lips and hands switch over to being extra-dry, all thanks to colder temperatures.

I searched for more than five years to find the perfect lip balm to use during winter, and now I tell everyone about it. If you suffer from dry, cracked lips when cooler weather hits, let me tell you about my favorite lip balm that I basically keep in every purse I own.

And if you’re like me who sometimes forgets to throw in lotion and a lip balm while heading out, with Lanolips’ ointment, you don’t have to worry about forgetting them. Its formula is made for 101 uses — yes, you read that right.

Not only can you slather this thick but moisturizing ointment onto your lips, but you can use it on dry cuticles, cracked heels, dry nasal passages, or you can even use it for keeping eyebrows in place. You can also use it for soothing windburn, papercuts and even insect bites. To call it a “superbalm” is an understatement.

Because the ointment is super dense, it penetrates and holds 200 percent of its weight in moisture, which means you’re not going to have to apply often. Once you slather a bit (a little goes a long way) onto your lips, it lasts for hours.

For those who want a more natural lip balm, Lanolips’ formula is made with pure-grade Australian lanolin, which is more effective and 100 percent more natural than common petroleum-based balms.

And if you’re new to the ingredient Lanolin like I was, it’s “a deeply moisturizing oil naturally occurring in sheep’s wool that’s humanely sourced from Australian sheep farmers,” according to the company.

Essentially, the Lanolin will mimic the skin’s natural oils to hydrate. Pretty neat, isn’t it?

While writing this review, I applied some to both my lips and hands, and it completely rubs in — there’s no residue left and my fingers don’t feel sticky.
