Liverpool made it successive wins to kick off their latest Champions League campaign after a familiar rout in Portugal.
Mohamed Salah and substitute Roberto Firmino both scored braces as the prolific Reds once again ran riot in a 5-1 romp at the Estadio do Dragao.
Sadio Mane also notched for Jurgen Klopp’s side and Curtis Jones delivered an inspired performance including three assists, while Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa endured a horror night between the posts.
Liverpool sit top of Group B after two rounds of fixtures, two points clear of Atletico Madrid, who triumphed 2-1 against 10-man AC Milan in Italy thanks to a 97th-minute penalty from former Anfield favourite Luis Suarez.
Liverpool also paid tribute to club legend and England 1966 World Cup winner Roger Hunt, who has died at the age of 83.
The players wore black armbands in tribute to Hunt, who notched a record 244 league goals during a memorable 11-year spell on Merseyside.

“I am not that type of guy who points the finger only in this situation and forgets all the rest,” Klopp said of Liverpool’s defending as they failed to keep a clean sheet.
“There are a lot of good things, we can improve so much things, but for today it was for sure good enough”.
On Sunday, Liverpool host Premier League title rivals Manchester City, who were beaten 2-0 away at Paris St Germain.
Klopp said: “It always helps, but against City it does not help alone, we need more things than only momentum. We need to play better than we did tonight, that is clear anyway. It will be a completely different game.
“City will want to strike back for sure, but we are at home finally after a few games (playing away) without our crowd, so let’s give it a go.”

And while Klopp wants to see improvement on that front after the come-from-behind win over AC Milan and 3-3 draw at Brentford, he insists he is not overly concerned just yet.
"It's not that much of a concern because I don't think you should make these things bigger than they are - but we have to show a reaction, that's for sure," the German said.
"It's really tricky to win a football game when you are not defending on your highest level and that's what we didn't do.
"The common opinion is it's only about the last line but we had a problem in general with our defending. That's why Brentford caused us problems and it wasn't good.
"We have to improve in that department for sure but now is not the moment to be concerned.
"We spoke about it and we know we cannot do it like that. I think we have sorted it but we have to show it.”

Roger Hunt: Understated but never undervalued

Away from Anfield, most people remember Roger Hunt MBE, for that moment in a stellar playing career when, for once, he spurned a goalscoring opportunity, writes Ken Dyer.
In the first period of extra-time in the 1966 World Cup Final against West Germany, Hunt’s England strike partner Geoff Hurst’s shot struck the crossbar and rebounded downwards.
Was it a goal, or wasn’t it?
Geoff Hurst wasn’t sure but Roger Hunt, who died yesterday aged 83, had no doubts.
Hurst takes up the story in his autobiography, 1966 And All That.
“I connected beautifully with the ball, but in doing so toppled over,” he wrote. “I therefore probably had the worst view in the ground when the ball struck the underside of the bar and bounced down on the line.
“My next clear memory is of Roger Hunt, to my left, halting his forward run and raising his arm in the air. Had there been any doubt about the validity of the goal in Roger’s mind, he would have continued his run and supplied the finishing touch. It would have been the easiest thing for him to do.
“Roger was a great player and the natural instinct of any striker in those circumstances is to put the ball in the net if he feels it necessary.
“I sometimes wish that Roger had applied the coup de grace and tapped the ball into the net. It would have avoided so much controversy.”

Liverpool have been paying tribute to Hunt since the sad news broke earlier today, with Klopp commenting that he was “second to no one” in terms of importance to the club.
“It’s really sad news and our thoughts and our love go to his family,” Klopp said.
“Unfortunately, it feels too frequent in this moment we are saying farewell to these giants of our club.
“Roger Hunt comes second to no-one in his importance in the history of Liverpool FC, that much is clear.
