What’s the ‘this is when the feeling sinks in’ sound on TikTok?

TikTokers are begging for the full version of this viral mashup.

Federal Reserve raises interest rates for first time since 2018

You’ve probably heard it while scrolling your FYP. The sound is of a woman singing, “This is when the feeling sinks in,” before a trap music beat drops. The musical snippet has been used in over 159,000 videos on TikTok. Now, fans of the mashup can’t get enough.

The sound was created by @djrog1998. He dubbed it a mashup “that shouldn’t work” but does. He combined Taylor Swift’s “Come Back…Be Here” and Soulja Boy’s “Teach Me How to Dougie” for a fresh take on both tracks.

“PLEASE stream this on literally anything… Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud… ANYTHING PLEASE,” a user wrote.

“Why this kind of fire tho?” another commented.

“This just itches the correct part of my brain,” a person said.

The DJ claimed he tried to upload the mashup for April Fools’ Day, but SoundCloud took it down for copyright infringement. While you may never get this certified bop on a streaming platform, you can always enjoy it on TikTok. People on the app have found plenty of uses for the sound.

“College hack: Dress like a bear on days where you don’t feel like bumping into people you know,” @bearlysurvivingatcollege said as the song played.

“Walking into the bathroom as the high school teacher that doesn’t want to have to snitch,” @oolivia.rider said in a caption.

“Just shake what your momma gave you: issues,” @goldminejokes said, shaking handfuls of medications to the mashup.
