Ted Bundy has been the subject of multiple projects over the last few years: Zac Efron's Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Netflix's Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, Amazon Prime's Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer and Discovery's Mind of a Monster.

Now there's another movie being made about the infamous serial killer, starring The Lord of the Rings' Elijah Wood, and the first look image of him in character has just been released alongside a few other shots from the movie via Entertainment Weekly.

The actor is portraying FBI agent Bill Hagmaier, one of the leading investigators in the Bundy case who interviewed the killer multiple times over a period of years about his horrific crimes.

The film, titled No Man of God, is being directed by Amber Sealey, who told the publication that the title comes from the fact that Hagmaier is very religious, but had to befriend someone like Bundy in order to get a confession out him – which he eventually did.

"The film is really comprised of a series of conversations," Elijah Wood explained, "and those conversations are lifted in part from real conversations and then recollections from Bill of these conversations".

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel actor Luke Kirby is playing Bundy, something that Sealey had to convince him to do.

The real Hagmaier assisted the director with plenty of details about the case in order to be as accurate as possible about what really happened.

No Man of God is yet to receive a release date.
