Five firms scrap July U.S. LPG cargo loadings on low spot prices -sources

HOUSTON, July 12 (Reuters) - A plunge in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices has prompted at least five companies, including Vitol, Gunvor and Royal Dutch Shell (Xetra: A0ET6Q - news) , to cancel cargo loadings from ports on the Texas Gulf Coast for the month of July, several trading sources said this week.

At least five cargoes have been cancelled, sources said, and also include vessels booked by BP and EDF Trading. Officials at the companies declined to comment or were not immediately available for comment. (Reporting by Liz Hampton; Editing by Terry Wade)
