New flights from Southampton to Paris set to launch next month
NEW flights from Southampton to Paris are set to start next month it has been announced.
Eastern Airways will be offering services between the city and the French capital as of April 14.
The new Paris Orly service will operate on a low-emission 72-seat ATR aircraft and be run in cooperation with Air France.
It comes as new services are also being launched from East Midlands and Cardiff Airports to offer year-round travel to Paris.

Roger Hage, commercial director of Eastern Airways said the company is "delighted to be entering into this cooperation with Air France".
He added that the new link will open up onward connections for passengers to a number of destinations including Disney Land Paris.
Flights from Southampton will run at 10.35am Sunday to Friday, with services leaving at 10.50am on Saturdays.
Return flights will also operate at 9.30am from Paris from Sunday to Friday and at 9.45am on Saturday.
Christopher Tibbett, group head of airline relations and marketing for Southampton Airport, said: “This is a fantastic route announcement from Air France and Eastern Airways offering a great addition to our summer schedule at Southampton in 2023, building on partner airline KLM’s double-daily flights to Amsterdam.
“I’m sure a daily service to Orly, which will deliver quick and convenient connectivity to one of Europe’s greatest destinations, will be very popular with our passengers from Southampton and the wider Hampshire region.”
