Former Holby City star Amy Lennox has shared that she's married her long-term partner Tom Andrew Hargreaves.

Sharing a photo of herself with her new husband from their big day, Amy, who played Chloe Godard on the show, told her Instagram followers that she and musical theatre director Tom had "run away" to her "favourite place", Linn of Dee in Scotland, on Sunday (October 17) and tied the knot.

"It was perfection," Lennox concluded, as fans gathered in the comments to congratulate the happy couple.

Lennox met Hargreaves while starring in the UK touring production of 9 to 5 back in 2012. Before that, she understudied Sheridan Smith's Elle Woods, a role played by Reese Witherspoon on screen, in the West End's take on Legally Blonde in 2009.

She joined the cast of Holby City in January 2019, and wound up departing the show in September 2021, when her character Chloe accepted a registrar job in Switzerland.

Chloe's moving final moments saw her tell her mother Ange (Dawn Steele) about the move. Ange by asking Chloe to name her newborn baby sister, who was born prematurely as part of the series' recent explosion storyline.

Taking to social media shortly after the episode aired, Amy uploaded a photo of an empty packet of crisps, as well as Chloe's name badge, stethoscope and trusty Nike trainers alongside a heartfelt caption.

"This is Ms Chloe Godard signing off …… thanks for the kind messages for Chloe's final ep," she began. "Sorry I've been quiet... didn't want to say anything and get in trouble.

"It's been a blast working with an incredible cast and team. I miss my beef Hula Hoops, I miss mornings in makeup with the best girls and I miss my Darwin fam – we shall be partying together soon enough, though."

Holby City airs on Tuesdays on BBC One.
