Fortnite down: Black hole event ends as game goes offline with Chapter 2 update imminent

Fortnite's huge "black hole" event has come to an end – but the game is still not available.

The servers are now fully offline, presumably to allow the new update to be pushed out to players.

A new update file has arrived with players, though they may need to restart their client or console to get it.

As well as the game going offline, Fortnite's Twitter posts returned to its account. Previously, the company had removed all of its posts apart from the live stream of the black hole.
