There’s a great bunch of money-saving deals and discounts for you to grab this week, including a free tennis games and make-up plus there’s still a chance to get a free pint.

But don’t forget, a bargain is only a good deal if you were planning to splash out on it anyway.

Free tennis games

If you’ve been inspired by Wimbledon to try tennis, you can do so free this weekend courtesy of the Lawn Tennis Association.

The Great British Tennis Weekend on 21 and 22 July includes free events across the country, with sessions to suit the whole family. There are Mini Tennis sessions, family time, free play, Cardio Tennis and numerous other kinds of activities to get involved in.

New tennis app

Meanwhile a tennis app which launched this week allows you to find an available local court and someone to play against. It matches you to someone locally of the same ability to play with.

The app also lists free courts – so you don’t need to join a club. The Spin Tennis app is available on iPhone App Store and Google Play Store.

Free pints

Around 2,500 pubs will be giving away free pints this week as part of National Pub Fortnight.

You need to sign up online to receive a voucher which you can use in local boozers. There are 50,000 pints being handed out but only on a first-come, first-served basis.

Halfords has launched a 30% off selected bikes and accessories offer.

Half-price at Butlin’s this summer

You can get 50% off a Butlin’s break if you book before midnight on Tuesday 24 July.

The offer means a family of four can get three nights at any of Butlin’s seaside resorts (Minehead, Bognor Regis and Skegness) from £129pp, or a four-night break from £179pp (based on Silver self-catering).

Tax credits deadline warning

If you’re eligible for tax credits, you need to renew before 31 July, or risk losing your cash.

The end of the month is the tax credits renewal deadline and if you don’t act, not only will your payments stop, but the Revenue may chase you for some of the money you’ve received in the last couple of months. You can renew online here.
