French energy ministers: Still receiving Russian gas, but at varying quantities

PARIS (Reuters) - France will still receive Russian gas imports over the next days, the country's energy minister said on Thursday, but added that amounts will be varying, depending on the overall supply situation in its European neighbour countries.

"We today are in a situation where we are receiving Russian gas", Agnes Pannier-Runacher told BFM Business radio.

Gas flows from Germany to France were halted last week after what German officials described as Russia's politically motivated decision to reduce supplies to the European Union. Berlin on Thursday triggered the "alarm stage" of its emergency gas plan as Russian supplies declined further.
