Yahoo Finance A 'Friends' Star Has Just Announced Their Engagement On Thanksgiving
Matthew Perry has announced his engagement to Molly Hurwitz.
The Friends alum - who played the sarcastic character with a penchant for Dad dancing, Chandler Bing - revealed the news this week.
'I decided to get engaged,' the 51-year-old told People magazine. 'Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.'
The couple have been dating since 2018 and 29-year-old Hurwitz reportedly works as a literary talent manager based in Los Angeles. The couple's relationship was first revealed via a report in The Sun in December 2019, which claimed Perry and Hurwitz were planning on spending Christmas together.
This will be Perry's first marriage. He previously dated Mean Girls and Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan for six years before they split in 2012. In the 1990s, Perry was also rumoured to have dated Julia Roberts - who he also dated on-screen when she guest-starred in the second season of Friends.

On the show, of course, Perry's Chandler Bing married Courteney Cox's character Monica Gellar following an error-filled, yet ultimately emotional, proposal. The wedding - which kicked off season eight - saw Chandler unable to dance in his slippy shoes and Rachel reveal that she was pregnant with Ross' baby.
Perry recently confirmed that he would be rejoining his five former castmates for the long-awaited HBO Max unscripted reunion of the show. The TV special - which is expected to feature Jennifer Aniston, Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Le Blanc, David Schwimmer and Perry reminiscing about their time on the show - was also due to have a live audience, so has been pushed back several times this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
It is now, finally, anticipated to film in March 2021 according to a tweet by Perry.

Whether another Friends reunion - at Perry's upcoming wedding - will take place is yet to be seen...
