“A lot of great players have played for the Club in its history, and they have a lot of great players currently, like my compatriot Aleksandar Mitrovic.”

Lukic has 35 caps for Serbia and started all of their matches at the World Cup in Qatar.

Fulham chief Tony Khan said: “I’m delighted to welcome Sasa Lukic to Fulham. He’s a talented and versatile midfielder whom we’ve followed closely for years.

“Sasa’s arrival will strengthen our team; I’m glad that he’s come to Fulham, and I expect he’ll flourish in our squad under the great coaching of Marco Silva.”

Meanwhile, Nathaniel Chalobah has left Fulham to join West Brom on an 19-month contract.
